From Grandma’s Kitchen: Goan Chutney

Green Goan chutney is used a lot in buttered sandwiches which can be seen at different events. It is also a great accompaniment to rice, dosa, etc.

Ingredients:

½ coconut (scraped)

A handful of fresh coriander leaves

1 onion

2 cloves

¼ tsp pepper

¼ tsp jeera

½ tsp sugar

1 tsp tamarind

3 garlic flakes

½ inch ginger piece

3-4 green chillies

5-6 mint leaves

Method:

Saute the onions in a pan without oil.

Grind the onions and the rest of the ingredients together.
