SCI-FFI ’18 Closing Ceremony

The movies ‘Forgotten Forest’ directed by Shashank Bhosle won the best film in above 5 minutes category and ‘2118’ by Tinki George won the best film in less than 5 minutes category at the recently concluded 3rd edition of Science Film Festival (SCI-FFI)which was held at Entertainment Society of Goa.

Prizes in other categories like Best Direction was bagged by Rajesh Karekar for the film Plastic Dhotti, Best Cinematography and Best Editing awards were bagged by Shashank Bhosle for his film ‘Forgotten Forest’ and in the Special Jury Awards category the first prize was bagged by Tinki George for his movie ‘2118’ and the 2nd prize was awarded to Sonia Chari for her film ‘Water Bottle Boy’

On this occasion, Chief Minister of Goa Manohar Parrikar expressed his happiness over the success of the Science Film Festival of India 2018 conceptualized for the school children of Goa. He stated “It is important to polish the young minds with new innovations and adoption of scientific knowledge and skills and festivals like SCI-FFI provides an opportunity to students to adopt new things by way of fun and learning.”
