Smoothie Recipes from Taj Hotels

Chefs share smoothie recipes to beat the heat. 

GRANOLA & FRUIT SMOOTHIE

Ingredients:
1 banana sliced
1 apple medium (Peeled & Diced)
1/3 cup plain Greek yoghurt
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1tbsp. maple syrup or honey
1 tbsp. flaxseed powder
1/2 cup granola
1/4 cup ice

Method:
Crush granola coarsely in the blender
Add Greek yoghurt, soy milk, and honey to blend it well
Add the rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth
Voila! Granola smoothie is ready

AVOCADO SUPER SMOOTHIE

Ingredients:

1/2 cup of almonds & walnuts
1 ½ - 2 cups of spinach leaves chopped
1 firm ripe avocado
1 ½ cups almond milk
1tbsp. of liquid apple syrup or honey
1tbsp. sunflower seeds
1tbsp. pumpkin seeds

Method:
Add mixed nuts (almond & Walnut), sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds in a blender and blend it well
Add spinach, avocado & soya milk in a blender. Blend until smooth
Add liquid apple syrup or honey and blend it for another 10 seconds.
Pour into glasses and serve.

PEANUT BUTTER AND HONEY OAT SMOOTHIE (from Executive Chef Nitin Mathur, Taj Santacruz)

Ingredients:

2 cups of rolled oats (pan-roasted)
½ yoghurt
1 cup almond milk
1 large banana
3tbsp. peanut butter
2 tablespoons honey
1tbsp flaxseed powder

 

Instructions:

Place oats in blender and process
Pour milk into a blender and allow processed oats to soften in milk for about 2-3 minutes
Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth
Serve immediately

HEALTHY MANGO COCONUT SMOOTHIE (from Executive Chef Nitin Mathur, Taj Santacruz)

Ingredients:
1/4 = 0.25 cup oats
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 cup coconut milk
1/2 cup fresh mango
1/3 cup plain yoghurt
1 tablespoon honey
1tbsp sunflower seeds
1/2 cup ice

Method:
Dry roast oats in a pan and let it cool
Add pan-roasted oats in a blender and blend it well till the texture appears powdered
Place rest of the ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth
Serve immediately

MANGO YOGHURT SMOOTHIE (from Executive Chef Nitin Mathur, Taj Santacruz)

Ingredients:
1 mango peeled and diced
1 cup yoghurt
1 cup ice
½ tsp cinnamon powder
1 tsp lemon juice
1tbsp pumpkin seeds

Method:
Add yoghurt, lime juice and cinnamon powder in a blender and blend it well
Add rest of the ingredients in your blender and blend for 1-2 minute or until the mixture is smooth.
Divide between two cups & serve immediately.

ALMOND & SPINACH SMOOTHIE (By Abhishek Dhyani – Executive Chef, Cidade de Goa– IHCL SeleQtions)

Ingredients:

200 ml milk

12-18 whole raw almonds

8-10 fresh spinach leaves

A pinch of cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and crushed black peppercorns.

 

Method:

Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
