Goa in 72 hours

DAY 1:

Morning: Contain your excitement as you arrive in Goa and check into your hotel. Head to the Royal Enfield Garage Café (Baga) or Jackfruit Tree Café (Assagao) for a hearty breakfast and then head to Baga beach for a quick stroll. Calangute and Baga beaches are popular among tourists, but they can be more crowded. If you want even quieter beaches, Morjim and Mandrem are good options.

Lunch: You can’t leave Goa without trying seafood! Indulge in elegant dishes at Fisherman’s Wharf (Candolim) or Souza Lobo (Calangute), which are well-known.

Afternoon: Enjoy an afternoon siesta at Morjim beach and relax on beach shack chairs.

Evening: Experience a panoramic view of a sunset at the top of the Chapora Fort. You can also go to Anjuna beach and satisfy your adventurous side with watersports. If it’s Wednesday, visit the Anjuna Flea Market.

Night: End the perfect day with some delicious food at Gunpowder (Assagao), where you can get delicious south Indian food and is located in a Goan-Portuguese house.

DAY 2:

Morning: Have a scrumptious breakfast at Perfect Cup, Miramar, which has simple and indulgent breakfast choices.

After this, you can either explore Fontainhas (the Latin Quarters of Goa) or go directly to Old Goa and soak yourself in the splendour of UNESCO sites. Some of these include the Basilica of Bom Jesus, Se Cathedral, and Church of St. Cajetan.

Lunch: Bring your energy up and have some delicious traditional Goan cuisine at Mum’s Kitchen (Panjim).

Afternoon: Visit Dona Paula Viewpoint and relax for a while.

Evening: Take a sunset cruise along the Mandovi River or go to Reis Magos Fort for exquisite views and to soak in some more of Goa’s history.

Night: For a relaxing way to end the day, have a nice dinner at Kismoor (Penha de Franca) which offers great North Indian, South Indian, and Goan dining options.

DAY 3:

Morning: Wake up early morning to get ready for a day of peace and quiet with beautiful views. Visit Colva, Palolem, or Butterfly beach (which you can reach by boat or a trek from Palolem beach). If you’re done with beaches, then spice plantations are a good option!

Lunch:  Eat at Martin’s Corner (Betalbatim), where you can get everything ranging from Oriental to Indian to Italian to Goan food. Another option is eating at a shack at Palolem beach.

Afternoon/ Evening: If your flight is from Dabolim airport, check out the Ulta Pulta museum, which will be a fun, light-hearted way to end your vacation. Save some time to shop for souvenirs too! Some great shopping places are the Margao Municipal Market and Susegad Home (Margao). Look out for cashew nuts, bebinca (Goan dessert), feni (Goan spirit), or handicrafts.

If your flight is from Mopa, you can shop at Simonia’s (Penha de Franca) for traditional Goan sweets, Mario Miranda Gallery for souvenirs, and visit Museum of Goa or Houses of Goa museum.
