After over a decade of live Gospel music performances in Australia, Europe, North America, and Asia, renowned singer, songwriter, author and Catholic priest Fr. Rob Galea will now perform live in Goa at Pilar.

His live performance on September 9, 2023, at 6 p.m. is being organised by the Pilar Music Academy, the music ministry of the Goa Province (Society of Pilar).

“The Pilar Music Academy is proud to host Fr. Rob Galea in Goa. Through his music, he proclaims love, hope, and peace. Fr. Galea who is a spiritual icon also has a global following,” said Fr. Mateus Fernandes, the Provincial Superior of Goa Province and also the chief coordinator of the Pilar event.

Maltese by origin, Fr. Galea later moved to Australia and rose from the brink of addiction and depression in his teens to become a Catholic priest. He uses music as an important instrument in helping people understand the need for intimacy with God. He is also the founder and executive director of FRG Ministry, a charity organisation reaching out to nearly 14 lakhs followers worldwide.

“I look forward to seeing you at Pilar. All of us are going to have a great time of worship, a time of music, a time of reflection, a time you will remember for the rest of your life because God is going to move your heart. I invite you to join there, bring family, bring friends, and come with an expectant heart,” said Fr. Galea, who has performed in Sydney, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Indianapolis, Poland, Vancouver, Panama City, etc, and has eight music albums to his credit. Apart from several television appearances to his credit, Galea’s book ‘Breakthrough’ is intended to be released as a Hollywood movie in 2025.
