When you see some beautiful artwork in an art gallery that looks like a castle, you’ve reached Yolanda D’souza’s place. Her private studio is filled with her own colourful and monochromatic paintings. All the art is for sale and can cost around Rs.10,000 and more.
Her art gallery- Galeria de Belas Artes- is spacious with a dome-like structure. There is a large book sculpture with Yolanda’s own poem showcased on it. Her artworks adorn the walls. Sometimes other artists’ works are featured. She holds an art competition for freshers every alternate year in the middle of January. The winners get to have their own solo show. The next competition will be held in January 2018.
Yolanda will soon be starting a Friday night art bazaar for artists below the age of 35. She has a passion for art and simply says, “It’s a part of me.”
