Savoi Plantation is situated in the village of Savoi in Ponda taluka. The plantation is basically a terraced field valley and at its base is a large placid pond which attracts a number of birds of different varieties. The plantation boasts of a country element of Goa.
As one enters the plantation he/she gets treated to an authentic feel of vintage Goan village ambience which includes the presence of mud house and various Goan artifacts. The plantation is based on the ancient concept of ‘kullagar’ where one can see plants of various spices such as pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom and beetal nut which are cultivated around the year. Trees of jackfruit, cashew nut, mango, guava and banana are also seen. The guests here are treated with authentic Goan cuisine which includes various types of rice, aromatic fish curry and local vegetables. Most of the tourists often visit this place to capture the sight of various species of birds during the winter season.
