The Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Navelim, Goa is called as ‘Nossa Senhora do Rosaria em Navelim. The Navelim church was founded in 1597 by a French Jesuit. It was then ransacked in the Maratha incursions of 1717 and 1739. On both occasions the Church was rebuilt by parishioners. Today the Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Navelim is the most populous parish in the Archdiocese of Goa. The parishioners of Our Lady of Rosary celebrate the feast of their patron on 3rd Wednesday of November every year.
