Bambolkar’s Art Gallery was formed to promote visual art activities and related art forms for the artists and art lovers. In order to provide art education, Dinanath Dalal Memorial art Education centre is also opened in premises of the gallery.
This centre takes up various programs for the upcoming artists and children having passion for arts. Many children and amateurs artists attend regular art classes.
The Bambolkar’s Art Gallery and Dinanath Dalal Memorial centre were inaugurated on 30th May 2016 on the occasion of the birth centenary of Shri. D.D. Dalal, one of the greatest Goan artists, in aim of paying him a humble tribute.This organization is named as “Dinanath Dalal Memorial Art Education Centre”.
In its first year, Bambolkar’s Art Gallery organized various camps and activities.
A residential Art camp and exhibition on the theme, ‘Goa- Land, Life and Legacy’ was organized in collaboration with Directorate of Art and Culture, Government of Goa.
As a gesture of affection, 10 artists visited the Wanamare tribe of Nirankal, Betoda to show their concern and love towards them, on 03rd November 2016. These artists depicted their lifestyle through paintings, sketches, and photographs.Their works were exhibited in the Art Gallery.
This exhibition was inaugurated at the auspicious hands of Padmashree Laxman Pai in presence of Shaistha Thapar, a well known Art collector.
As a part of the anniversary celebration of Bambolkar’s Art Gallery, a water color painting exhibition of 10 prominent state level award winning artists from different parts of Goa was organized from 30th May to 12th June.
Different activities related to visual art are also organized throughout the year like poetry recitation and reading of dramas.
