Bipin and Pooja who are avid nature lovers started Khojaao in December 2015. ‘Khoj’ in Hindi means ‘to look for’. ‘Khojaao’ means ‘to get lost’ or ‘wander’, which is exactly what they let people do. Their programmes and tours are for the purpose of giving people a better understanding of the environment and to foster a love for the outdoors.
They organize cycling trips, overnight camping, bird watching, guided backyard walks, sunset hikes, bicycle village experiences, a day in the forest, and more. To promote knowledge about the eco-system, they hold fun, interactive workshops for students where they learn about composting, butterflies, snake awareness, etc. “We are trained in wilderness first-aid,” Pooja reveals. The type of trips changes according to the different seasons.
