Atithi Gupta, fashion designer, is an alumnus of Pearl Academy of Fashion. She knew what she wanted to do from a young age. She made her first debut entry at Lakme Fashion week and continued being successful in her career.

She feels that “Earlier outfits were made only for the runway, they were more like a piece of art, involved so much drama that the wearability factor went missing.” Her aim is to design outfits that are durable and can be worn several times along with a smash of creativity for that designer’s edge.

She has her own workshop in Taleigao and plans to open a flagship store in Goa alongside retail at all multi-designer stores across the country. Her spring summer 2017 collection contains wearable cotton in beautiful pastel hues. Atithi feels that customers look for “The simplicity of a minimalist wardrobe where each piece of clothing is made for its versatility and newness. Nowadays, everyone believes in having a comfortable balance in the clothes they wear.”

She admires all the fashion designers based in Goa as she faced her share of hardships here. Her opinion is that there is a huge requirement for designer wear in Goa and respects everyone who brings in fashion trends to this state.
