On Sunday, 1 Sep, MOG will host Puja Mitra, founder-director of Terra Conscious, who will talk about Marine Wildlife Conservation in Goa. The talk will begin at 11:30 AM and will be followed by a discussion, ending at 12:30 PM. Goa is at the forefront of the battle for marine conservation. A leader in this fight is Terra Conscious, a conservation-oriented social enterprise focusing on responsible travel and marine conservation education and outreach. This Sunday at MOG, Puja Mitra will talk about Goa’s marine megafauna and the challenges faced in their conservation. The talk will also present the current conservation and sustainable livelihood programmes implemented by Terra Conscious since its inception. Puja Mitra holds an MSc in Biodiversity, Conservation & Management from the University of Oxford and is a Commonwealth Scholar (2008-09).
