Samrat Club of Margao is organising a dance and yoga retreat ‘Suyog’ on September 25 and September 26 at Raut Farm, Bicholim. On the occasion of the European Day of Languages 2021, The Language Portal (TLP) an online language learning centre based in Goa, is partnering with Alliance Française de Pune, Goethe-Institut Pune, Savitribai Phule Pune University, the Italian Cultural Institute of Mumbai, the Polish Institute New Delhi, the Consulate General of Switzerland in Mumbai, and the Delegation of the European Union to India and Bhutan, to bring language learners a cultural programme centred on the importance of language learning and cultural exchange. TLP will be giving participants a taste of the Portuguese Language through a taster workshop as part of the programme. Language Taster Workshops in German, French, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, and Polish will be held on September 25, from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. ‘Language Learning in the Era of Translation Technology’, a panel discussion curated and moderated by Sandeep Nulkar, comprising speakers Richard Simcott (UK), Thierry Poibeau (France), Professor Chiara La Sala (Italy), Ralph Krüger (Germany), and Kshama Dharwadkar (India) will be held on September 25, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Screenings of short Romansh films, courtesy of the Consulate General of Switzerland in Mumbai will be held on September 26, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Disability Rights Association of Goa (DRAG) will be organising a ‘Meet Your Soul Mate’ meet on September 25, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Presentation Convent High School, Margao for persons with disabilities and the general public to meet, socialise, and find their life partner. This meet is being organised for the second time in Goa and is meant to provide persons with disabilities in Goa a platform to find their soul mate. As part of the Collaborative Learning Café, a talk on ‘Careers in School Education’ will be held on October 12 and October 14, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The October 12 session will focus on what it means to be a teacher, while the October 14 session will focus on the path to becoming a teacher, educator, or researcher.
