SRIEIT Shiroda holds conference on materials and computational intelligence

Ramachandra Educational and Sports Trust (REST) Society for Research International (RSRI) and Shree Rayeshwar Institute of Engineering and Information Technology jointly organised ‘RSRI Conference on Materials and Computational Intelligence (RSRI CMCI 2018)’ at Shree Rayeshwar Institute of Engineering and Information Technology (SRIEIT), Shiroda.

The two-day conference consisted of five sessions with around 61 paper presentations in various fields of materials and computational intelligence by various authors across the country.

Chief guest for the valedictory function was Ramesh Gardas from IIT, Madras. In his keynote speech, Gardas mentioned the usage of ionic liquid to replace natural liquid like water for industrial usage, so as to protect the environment.

In his presidential speech, president of RSRI, U Ragavendran said that students should aim to achieve knowledge to adapt to society and not just carry out research for the sake of a degree.

Various awards and certificates were presented to participants. Life time achievement award was presented to Robinson Smart from Karunya University, Coimbatore and Surendra Rahamatkar, SRIEIT. Best Researcher award was presented to Naveen from Jain University, Bangalore and professor Shailendra Aswale of SRIEIT. The paper presented by professor Maniran from SRM University, Chennai was awarded the Best Paper in the materials section. A paper presented by professor Sunaya Shirodkar and professor Darshata Naik from SRIEIT was awarded as the Best Paper in computational intelligence.
