Rajendra Talak directed thriller ‘Miranda House’ set to release in April

After a hiatus of five years, film director Rajendra Talak will be releasing his seventh film, a bilingual thriller–drama titled ‘Miranda House’ in the month of April. The film is produced by Rajendra Talak Creations in Konkani and Iris Production in Marathi. The film was shot entirely in Goa in the month of October over a span of 15 days.

Briefing the media about the upcoming film, Talak said that the film has a large Goan cast and crew and over the shooting period also came to know about the Goan roots of Milind Gunaji. “I had to take a long break before this film as my priority was addressing the concerns of filmmakers in Goa, revamping the Film Finance Scheme, scheduling festivals and other works related to the film fraternity of Goa” added Talak.

Putting forth their views actor, Milind Gunaji said that “It is the first time that I’m doing a film in Konkani. There is so much creativity in Goa and all that has been utilised for this film. It was a great experience working in Goa.” For Sainkeet Kamat, a Goan actor who has attained popularity in Maharashtra for roles in serials like Tujha Majha Breakup and Ratris Khel Chale, it is a dream come true to work with a good film director and that has been fulfilled after having worked with Rajendra Talak.

John D’silva, who acted previously in Rajendra Talak’s film ‘O Maria’ urged the audience to come to the theatres and support this film and all Konkani films that are made in Goa, as to encourage Goan directors and producers.

Cinematographer Suraj Kurade who has worked as chief assistant DOP on films like Queen, Bodyguard, Stree, and others was roped in alongside the talented young editor Vardhan Dhaimodkar who worked as assistant editor for the Marathi film Naal, while Ashok Patki has created music for the film.

The exact date for the release in April hasn’t been finalised as there are plans to release the Marathi movie simultaneously in Maharashtra too, revealed Talak.

The cast also includes Pallavi Subhash, Prince Jacob, John D’Silva, Audhoot Sahakaro, Sanjay Talwadkar, Sanjiv Prabhu, Madhavi Desai, and Anil Raikar.
