The Festival of Carols will be held at Dinanath Mangeshkar Kala Mandir, Panaji on 13th Dec 2018. Each participating Groups will be allowed to sing for a maximum of 8 minutes and the groups should consist of minimum 10 singers. The Christmas Carols will have to be sung in 3 or more voices.

Marlee Matlin (who is deaf in real life) won a Best Actress Oscar for her first screen role. She remains the youngest Actress to win that honour.

U collective, started to promote high-quality handmade functional ceramics in India will have a pop-up show from December 15 to 23 at Tarini, 153, Campal.

‘Confluence 2018’, a group show of art by contemporary artists of India will be held from December 9 to 13 at Kala Academy, Panaji.

The Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs will organise the XVII Youth Festival 2018-19 consisting of various competitions like folk dance, elocution, harmonium, table, sitar, flute etc. The zonal competition will be held on December 12 at Ravindra Bhavan, Sankhali for Zone 1, January 4 for Zone 3 at Ravindra Bhavan, Vasco, January 7 for Zone 4 at Ravindra Bhavan, Curchorem. The state-level competition will be held from January 10 to 12 at Kala Academy, Panaji. Participants should be in the age group of 15 to 29 years as on April 2018.

Stuti Choral Ensemble will perform on December 13 at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, Panaji and on December 14 at Holy Spirit Church, Margão. All shows will begin at 7 p.m.

Dance Illusion along with Dr Martin will be conducting a Christmas ballroom dance workshop for 5 days from December 10 to 14, 7 p.m. at Clube Vasco de Gama, Panaji and from December 17 to 21, 7 p.m. at Rosary School Hall, Fatorda. Students will get to learn the basic of Cha cha, Rumba, Jive, Grand Waltz, Waltz and Foxtrot.

‘Linhas Soltas’- Drawing on Paper by Cecilia Costa will be held from December 11 to January 11 at Fundacao Oriente, Panaji. She will also conduct a drawing workshop from December 17 to 21, 4 to 6 p.m. The workshop is open to children 12 +, parents and grandparents. Registrations till December 14.
