The Grape Escapade Festival Gets Underway

The 14th edition of the wine festival - The Grape Escapade was inaugurated on April 19 at D. B Bandodkar grounds, Campal, Panaji.

Speaking at the inaugural of the festival, Minister for Tourism and Sports,  Babu Aajgaonkar said that, local wineries should see this wine festival not from the entertainment point of view but also from research point on which can help them to compete in the international market. He also said that they are not just promoting cashew but also keen on promoting wine and like the cashew having its medicinal properties, the wineries should be looking to bring those out of their produce.

Goa Tourism and Development Corporation (GTDC) Chairman, Nilesh Cabral said that this festival has become a portal for experiments on wines as one can find wines made up of ginger, papaya, pineapple, mango and berries which are not found easily on retail shops.
